Gary Barnes, Founder

Utilizing over 21 years of SEO and online marketing experience,
Gary Barnes has a proven track record of helping clients
maximize the performance of their websites and develop
successful web marketing strategies.
His specialties include online marketing strategy, search engine
optimization, content marketing, project management, social
media, and web analytics.
Gary comes from a technical background, starting in 1996 as a
web developer and technical manager for both large and mid-
sized companies along with developing his own website
development business.

As the business world began to realize the potential of the internet and the emerging search engines, Gary shifted focus to online marketing. In San Diego from 1997-2004, he worked as an in-house internet marketer and developed an independent online marketing consulting practice. Moving to Philadelphia in 2005, Gary provided SEO and online marketing services for an economic development consultancy focused on manufacturing and, in 2010, became a partner in a full-service SEO and online marketing firm for 14 years.

As the principal of White Hat Lab, Gary continues doing what he loves to do: helping B2B companies plan, develop & sustain effective SEO programs to increase engagement, generate leads and drive revenue growth.

White Hat offers highly personalized service, strategic planning, customized programs and quarterly or monthly meetings to analyze results, adapt as needed and plan for the next month or quarter. White Hat Lab offers several flexible structures so that clients can get the services they need without the constraints of a rigid plan.

For clients who have optimized websites, White Hat Lab recommends quarterly or monthly on-site meetings that provide the framework for continual improvement. This structure involves a quarterly block of SEO service hours, usually 24, 36, or 40 hours per quarter on a fixed price-per-quarter basis. The team analyzes performance and web analytics and then creates an action plan for the following period.

White Hat Lab offers blocks of dedicated time for clients who need to build a new website, or for clients who need White Hat Lab’s SEO expertise but require more flexibility in the utilization of the designated hours. White Hat Lab customizes plans to clients’ needs and budgets.
